CONSTRUCTION
​
Safety key boxes are comprised of a metal case and door constructed from a mild sheet steel, with no less than 1.5mm thick. The doors are hinged with the hinge pin secured in place, to prevent withdrawal.
​
Each safety key box will be provided with one 'AUTHORISED PERSON' Lock and one 'PERSON IN CHARGE' LOCK. All locks are to be identified by permanent marking on the box i.e. 'AP' and 'PinC'

FINISH
​
Safety key boxes will be stove enamelled gloss white and will be provided with 4 hooks fitted to the black plate.

DESIGN
​
Both the 'AP' and 'PinC' lock keys will be free for withdrawal in the locked position.
All 'AP' locks on a site or on an electrical system shall be of the same pattern and only one key held. All 'PinC' locks on a site or on an electrical system will be different from each other.
There will only be key for each 'PinC' lock.

KEY TAGS
​
Laminated key tags for fitting to existing safety locks. Item 75 tags have a red background with safety lock and number engraved in white.
Item 75A is larger than item 75 and includes site details and number.
THE MIMIC CABINET
​
The Mimic Cabinet comes complete with an integral key cabinet and locking arrangements for the glass doors.
